Generous giving has had a vital impact on Presby’s Inspired Life throughout its history. In fact, a very important gift launched Presby’s Inspired Life.

In 1954, Philadelphia businessman Samuel W. Robinson bought and gave to Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church the Rosemont estate of the Cassatt family, named Beaupré, for the express purpose of establishing a home for the aging.

This magnificent mansion and ten acres of surrounding grounds became Rosemont Presbyterian Village in January 1955. Expansions to the original building have enabled Rosemont to provide a home for several hundred older adults over the decades.

Gifts have been vital to Presby’s Inspired Life ever since. For example, Presby’s Inspired Life provides $1.5 million annually to support continuing care residents whose resources are no longer sufficient to meet their expenses. This ministry would not be possible without the generous contributions of many friends over the years – contributions provided annually as well as through estate giving.

Presby’s Inspired Life celebrates all our donor partners who help make our ministry possible. Many giving opportunities are available in supporting Presby’s Inspired Life. Please contact Lynn Johnson-Porter, Vice President of Philanthropy via email at lynn.johnson-porter@presbysinpiredlife.org or 610-260-1108.
