Presby’s Inspired Life grew out of a response by the local Presbyterian Church to provide quality housing and long-term care for older adults in the Greater Philadelphia region. In 1955, the community which would later be known as Rosemont Presbyterian Village was opened to provide quality housing for 14 older adults who needed to be relocated after the Commonwealth’s closing of their previous residence. The community was the first of what is now Presby’s Inspired Life. 

Today, Presby’s Inspired Life is a regional leader in senior living, providing continuing care and affordable housing, serving more than 2,300 residents in 24 communities through the dedicated, compassionate work of nearly 1,100 employees. 

Through our continuing care communities, Presby’s Inspired Life offers independent living, assisted living and nursing care. Our communities are among the most respected in the Philadelphia region.

In our rental retirement communities, Presby’s Inspired Life’s reputation for excellence in sponsorship, development and management has made us a preferred manager with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, resulting in several new referrals for development and management opportunities each year.
