Presby’s Inspired Life Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tama Carey was honored Thursday evening by LeadingAge PA as the 2018 recipient of the prestigious Paul P. Haas Lifetime Achievement Award during a gala in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This prestigious award recognizes an individual for service and commitment to those 62 and better.
LeadingAge PA, an organization representing nonprofits that support older adults with housing, healthcare and services, annually presents this award to a distinguished individual who has demonstrated exemplary leadership, service and commitment to the association and across the Commonwealth to positively impact and advance the older adults services field.
Tama embodies that leadership, service, commitment and so much more every day at Presby. She brought over three decades of experience throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania when she arrived at Presby in 2014 and has been a cornerstone of our service to those 62 and better ever since.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Tama provides leadership and direction in the planning, development and operations of the over 30 Presby’s Inspired Life communities and she belongs to a team that designs and delivers the strategic vision for Presby.
“Tama truly deserves this honor in every way,” said Presby President and CEO Judee Bavaria.
“She exemplifies who we are as an organization. We look up to her for the way she leads by example and how she serves those 62 and better. She is an incredible leader and we are so proud of her that she is being recognized in this way.”
Tama has also served in various roles on behalf of LeadingAge, including as Chair of the Board of Directors of LeadingAge PA.
Presby’s Inspired Life is proud to salute Tama on this wonderful, distinguished honor!
