2016 Inspired Service Recognition Dinner honors Patricia S. Scott
October 21, 2016
Mrs. Scott, a longtime resident of Rydal Park, has inspired and helped many through her gracious works of charity and compassionate spirit.
Presby’s Inspired Life held its 2016 Inspired Service Recognition Dinner on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Philadelphia Hilton City Avenue.
This year’s recipient of the annual Inspired Service Award was Patricia S. Scott, a civic leader, philanthropist and longtime resident of Presby’s Inspired Life’s Rydal Park community.
In her 13 years at Rydal Park, Mrs. Scott has displayed her benevolent spirit and commitment to serve others through numerous works of charity. Through Mrs. Scott’s generosity, a state-of-the-art medical center was opened at Rydal Park in 2011. Named in memory of Mrs. Scott’s late husband, the Joseph C. Scott Medical Center at Rydal Park
continues to serve residents with unparalleled nursing and rehabilitative care.
“While I am truly humbled to accept the Inspired Service Award, I feel a sense of shared ownership with many of you, and, most certainly, my husband, Joe,” Mrs. Scott said during her acceptance speech.
“Tonight, I want all of you to know that this is not just my award. Instead, it is a tribute to Rydal Park, the beautiful community that is home to more than 500 residents and friends, including the dedicated staff members, whose talents greet us each day.”
The Inspired Service Dinner is the most important annual fundraising event on Presby’s Inspired Life’s calendar. The event honors those who make a difference in the community while displaying the spirit that personifies Presby’s mission of addressing the needs of older adults.
“So many of us admire Pat, who has dedicated much of her life to service,” said Presby’s Inspired Life President and CEO Judee M. Bavaria. “Working with Pat, I am reminded of a very valuable lesson: when a need exists and a passionate spirit ensues, the results can change lives.”
All proceeds from the Inspired Service Recognition Dinner benefit the Compassionate Care Fund, which provides benevolent assistance and living enhancements to residents in Presby’s Residential and Affordable Housing communities.
