Presby to honor 5 women leaders at this year’s Inspired Service Recognition Dinner

Presby will honor the five notable women for their service to those 62 and better throughout the Philadelphia area on Oct. 25 during the 10th annual Inspired Service Recognition Dinner.
Presby’s Inspired Life is pleased to announce that five notable women from the Philadelphia area – Lisa Thomas-Laury, Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, Irene Hannan, Dr. Ellyn Jo Waller and Dr. Janet Haas – will be presented with this year’s Inspired Service Award. These women leaders will be honored for their exceptional service to the community of those 62 and better through the tenants of faith, family and philanthropy at the annual Inspired Service Award Dinner on Oct. 25. This year will mark the 10th anniversary of the the award and the event.
This year’s honorees:
• Lisa Thomas-Laury – Longtime former news anchor at 6ABC turned author and motivational speaker
• Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell – Serving Philadelphia’s 3rd District, which includes parts of West and Southwest Philadelphia
• Irene Hannan – Incoming CEO of Faith in the Future Foundation
• Dr. Ellyn Jo Waller – First Lady of Enon Tabernacle Church in Philadelphia
• Dr. Janet Haas – Board Chair of the William Penn Foundation
This distinguished award is annually presented to those who exceptionally serve those 62 and better across the Philadelphia region. This year, Presby celebrates the 10th anniversary of the award and the event.

This year’s Inspired Service Recognition Dinner will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Hilton City Avenue in Philadelphia. The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and the night’s presentations.
Proceeds from the Inspired Service Recognition Dinner will support resident financial assistance and quality of life programming throughout Presby’s continuing care and affordable housing communities.
