Presby’s Day of Inspiration

April 27, 2015

As part of Presby’s year-long 60th Anniversary celebration, Presby will host a “Day of Inspiration” to take place on Thursday, April 30. The day is all about inspiring, collaborating and encouraging team members and residents to seek out imaginative ways to strengthen ties with each other and their local communities. It’s about demonstrating that by working together, we have the fortitude to accomplish great things and meet the needs of those we serve.

Activities will be taking place at six different communities on April 30th. A detailed description of each activity is listed below. For more information or to learn about how you can participate please contact

Ways to get involved on April 30th:

Food for Neighbors in Need- Rydal Park:
A month-long food collection to support the Interfaith Food Cupboard in Abington Township and the Riverside Presbyterian Apartments.  Non-perishable items can be dropped off at the Concierge at Rydal Park. Items can also be dropped off at CSC in the Employee Break-Room.

Affordable Housing: Clean Up With Care at Jackson Place:
Jackson Place residents, staff and community will be clearing the Emanuel Weinberg Park located directly across from Jackson Place Apartments of unsightly trash and debris. They also will direct some much-needed attention to the future property for Cantrell Place (501 Jackson Street).  Clean-up takes place from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Please pitch in if you can.

Sharing With a Smile at Rosemont:
Your support is needed to staff The Beaupre shop and White Elephant Room. Rosemont will also provide furniture to Interfaith House in Germantown, plant small potted flowers for The 58th Street Campus and establish a “sock drop” for Broomall residents for their Day of Inspiration project (see below).  Consider spending an hour at Rosemont or donating a small potted flower or furniture item for a resident to enjoy.

Sending out an “SOS” at Broomall:
Presby’s communities will be asked to donate a pair of unworn “Socks or Slippers” to be donated to Broomall residents. Sock drop boxes are located at Broomall, CSC and Rosemont.
Pick up the spirits of residents by picking up a pair or two.

Serene Surroundings at Spring Mill:
